Do you allow cell phones, cameras, or video recording?

No. Personal cell phones, cameras, and video recording devices (including Meta glasses or any wearable recording devices) are not allowed during the experience. If guests are seen recording, they may be escorted out of the activity for safety and privacy reasons.

Are photos included?

Yes. Photos are included with every experience we offer and are included in the price. Our team captures photos during your visit so you can fully enjoy the experience without needing to take pictures yourself.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

There is no minimum age. Guests of all ages are welcome to participate, and all guests are the same price regardless of age. Every person attending must have a reservation. Visitors must be at least 15 years old to attend an encounter on their own. However all guests under 18 still require a parent or guardian present for check in.

How early should I arrive?

Guests should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled start time to allow time for traffic or unexpected delays. Our activities begin promptly and late arrivals will not be admitted.

What happens if I arrive late?

Activities begin promptly at the scheduled time and late arrivals cannot be admitted once the experience has started. Guests who arrive late may reschedule to the next available activity date and a rescheduling fee will apply. No refunds will be given for late arrivals.

Is parking free?

Yes. Complimentary parking is available on site for all guests.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable weather-ready clothing and closed-toe shoes. Guests should avoid wearing solid black clothing. Anything with color, patterns, or natural tones works best for photos.

Can I bring personal belongings to the activity?

Personal belongings are not allowed during the experience. Items can be safely stored in your car or behind the front desk during your visit. We do not have lockers available.

What items are prohibited during the experience?

For the safety of our animals and guests, certain items are not permitted during activities. Prohibited items include cell phones, cameras, video recording devices (including Meta glasses or wearable recording devices), outside food or treats for you or the animals, and large personal belongings. Guests who violate these rules may be removed from the experience.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No. All visits and encounters are strictly by reservation only.

Are the animals friendly?

Yes. Our encounters are a great form of enrichment, allowing them to enjoy quality time and connections with new people.

How long is the Safari Lodge Photo Encounter?

The Photo Encounters are a brief, memorable meet and greet with three animals selected by our team. These experiences are designed to focus on capturing a few incredible photos.

What if I am celebrating a special occasion?

We offer custom packages for birthdays, anniversaries, and proposals during our Day Safari! These enhancements are available for an additional fee. After booking your tickets, please contact us to make arrangements for your special day.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All guests must sign a liability waiver before participating in any experience. A waiver link will be sent 24 hours prior to arrival and we ask that it be completed before you arrive.

What animals will I see?

You may encounter Bubbles the Elephant, our resident wolves and more. Animal encounters vary depending on the day and season. Guests will meet a variety of rare and exotic animal ambassadors during their visit, but no one specific animal can be guaranteed.

Will there be hands-on interaction with animals?

Yes. All of our experiences are interactive and allow guests to meet and experience hands-on time with our animal ambassadors. The specific interactions vary depending on the experience.

Is Myrtle Beach Safari wheelchair accessible?

The Wild Encounters Tour is not wheelchair or walker accessible due to stairs and natural terrain. Guests may bring a cane if needed. The Safari Lodge Photo Encounter can be wheelchair accessible. Guests needing accommodations should contact us after booking so we can make the appropriate arrangements.

Can expectant mothers participate?

Yes. Expectant mothers are welcome to participate. Please note that some experiences include walking and stairs.

Are the experiences private?

Some experiences are offered as private encounters while others are small group activities. Private encounters are priced for two guests and additional guests may be added for an additional fee depending on the experience.

Can I take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to Myrtle Beach Safari?

Yes. Ride services are welcome to drop off and pick up guests. Please make sure to arrive on time as late arrivals cannot be admitted.

Can I bring food or drinks?

No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted on the preserve. However, if you have specific dietary restrictions, you may bring your own snacks in a single gallon Ziploc bag or contact us in advance so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Are food and drinks available during the tour?

Yes. We provide complimentary snacks and beverages during our photo encounters, and full meals are included with all Day, Night, and Sunset Safaris. For special dietary requests, please contact us at least 72 hours before your visit.

Can I bring food for the animals?

No. For the safety and health of our animals, guests are strictly prohibited from bringing outside food or treats. Any feeding that occurs during your experience is done with food provided by our team.

What happens if it rains?

Our experiences operate rain or shine. Many parts of the experience are covered or can be moved indoors if necessary.

How far in advance should I make a reservation?

We recommend booking as far in advance as possible. Our experiences have limited availability and often sell out. Prices may also increase as activities begin to fill, so booking early helps ensure availability and allows guests to secure the best price.

Do you offer group discounts?

Due to the limited availability of our experiences, we do not offer group discounts.

What is your cancellation policy?

After 24 hours of purchase, your reservation becomes non-refundable. You may reschedule your reservation for up to one year from your original date of purchase. After 12 months, tickets expire permanently.

Any changes to your reservation will incur an additional fee. Rescheduling fees vary from $50 to $300 per person.
